Schwarzman Scholarship

The Schwarzman scholarship is an international postgraduate award program for students to study at Tsinghua University. The program selects scholars based on their leadership ability, academic achievement, and demonstrated potential to become the next generation of global leaders who will build bridges between China and the rest of the world.

 

This scholarship was modelled on the Rhodes Scholarship and has an acceptance rate comparable to the Rhodes making it one of the most competitive scholarships in the world.

 

This scholarship will open for applications for the 2023/24 class from Apr 2022 to Sep 2022.

Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships

The Japanese government-sponsored MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) scholarship is offered every year by the embassy of Japan. MEXT scholarships support foreign students to study in higher education institutions, selected on the recommendation of the Embassy. 

 

This application is now closed for undergraduate applicants (closed on 4 June 2021) and research students (closed on 30 June 2021). The application window for 2023 scholarship is expected to open in April 2022.

USTC Scholarship Program
 

The USTC scholarship program is an undergraduate and postgraduate scholarship program established by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) to support outstanding international students for studies in China. This program provides a full scholarship which covers tuition waiver, accommodation, stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance.

Applications for the 2022/23 period closed March 31st 2022.
