The Schwarzman Scholarship is an international postgraduate award program for students to study at Tsinghua University. The program selects scholars based on their leadership ability, academic achievement, and demonstrated potential to become the next generation of global leaders who will build bridges between China and the rest of the world.
This scholarship was modelled on the Rhodes Scholarship and has an acceptance rate comparable to Rhodes, making it one of the most competitive scholarships in the world.

Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships
The Japanese government-sponsored MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) scholarship is offered every year by the Japanese Embassy. MEXT scholarships support international students to study in higher education institutions selected on the recommendation of the Embassy.
The application window for the 2025 scholarship is expected to open in April 2024.
USTC Scholarship Program
The USTC scholarship program is an undergraduate and postgraduate scholarship program established by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) to support outstanding international students pursuing studies in China. This program provides a full scholarship, which covers tuition waiver, accommodation, stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance.
Applications for 2024/25 will close on March 31 2024, for undergraduates and on February 15th 2024, for postgraduate.
